Holi is the annual “festival of colors” that originated in ancient India. Although it celebrates the beginning of spring, it is not held on a specific date. It usually lasts two days, with the first day being Holika Dahan and the second day being the main celebration. It is a time when people will play and dance in their community, including the custom of spraying water and colored powder on friends and relatives to celebrate the end of winter.

Holi will come to Union Market District on Tuesday, March 25, starting at 6:00 p.m. This year’s celebration includes colors and T-shirts. This year’s Festival of Colors will take place at 12 pm on Saturday, April 26. It marks the 10th Anniversary of the Festival of Colors at Bull Run Park.

A Holi celebration will be held at ISKCON of DC on Saturday, May 3, at 11 am. It is open to families and friends.
